This is a round shield made of approx. 13 mm thick plywood and hand painted with four Norse dragons inspired by archaeological artwork discovered at various sites. Around the round boss it presents 4 traditionally lost wax cast bronze brooches of a similar design to archaeological discoveries and which are very detailed.

It features a steel shield boss, four ornamental cast fittings made of brass on the front and a solid wooden handle on the back.
The edge of the shield is lined with leather.
